After some careless play in the Bierzów SA defense, Venancio Emesto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tytus Karp. The Bierzów SA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tytus Karp should have stopped the shot. When Venancio Emesto came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Sporting de Gijón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Venancio Emesto couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute, Diego Maradona made a precise shot to the right of Tytus Karp. Bierzów SA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Matias Bilintx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tytus Karp having to interfere. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miroslaw Malewicz made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Saturnino Curcio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting de Gijón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saturnino Curcio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 1-8 became the score in the 55th minute when Wayne Rooney elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tytus Karp, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sporting de Gijón's Kauan de Barros was substituted for Atilano Feo. Tytus Karp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matias Bilintx went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-10 was the resulting score. Wayne Rooney ran back to his position shaking his head. 88 minutes into the game, Matias Bilintx lined in a short shot 1-14 behind a frustrated Tytus Karp. The crowd rose to their feet as Diego Maradona kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tytus Karp. That made the score 1-15 in the 92 minute of play. Tytus Karp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Maradona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 96th play minutes Wayne Rooney shot 1-16, a short shot which went by Tytus Karp and just under the crossbar into goal. When the match was over Sporting de Gijón could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bierzów SA throughout the match.
