The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Toronto FC's Papillion Cheek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Toronto FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Souris got free with Papillion Cheek in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gösta Sellberg struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Papillion Cheek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for En Avant Nikko. After 7 minutes of play, En Avant Nikko's Gösta Sellberg made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Papillion Cheek was left in no man's land by his defense there! 10 minutes into the match, Firman Morientes notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Toronto FC's Papillion Cheek. Papillion Cheek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Papillion Cheek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Firman Morientes, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Toronto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gösta Sellberg came free, but Papillion Cheek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Toronto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilbert Reix came free, but Papillion Cheek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Gilbert Reix dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Papillion Cheek, 3-0. In the 30th minute, Gösta Sellberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The En Avant Nikko fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Papillion Cheek stood somewhat misplaced when Gösta Sellberg came free in front of goal and shot 6-0 to the left of him in the 35 minute. After a defensive mix-up in Toronto FC's zone, Manuel Souris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Papillion Cheek came out of the goal and Manuel Souris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute of the match, Gilbert Reix tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Papillion Cheek saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Papillion Cheek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Firman Morientes, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Toronto FC's goalkeeper Papillion Cheek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gösta Sellberg. In the 48th match minute, Toronto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervais Dudley to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Albert Harbuz in the 49th minute really tested Papillion Cheek's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

The wind increased when Orval Briggs made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Kiko Braga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Papillion Cheek was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. In the 56th minute, Firman Morientes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Papillion Cheek was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. In the 60th minute, Djamel Malouda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Papillion Cheek was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. Papillion Cheek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Djamel Malouda went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. After 67 played minutes En Avant Nikko got a freekick which was hit by Albert Harbuz. After a rather tough play, Toronto FC's Shawn Cole got a free kick in the 68th minute. Gösta Sellberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Papillion Cheek having to make a save. In the 72nd minute Gilbert Reix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Papillion Cheek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albert Harbuz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Papillion Cheek having to interfere. In the 78th minute Gösta Sellberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Papillion Cheek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Firman Morientes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Papillion Cheek. Toronto FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Firman Morientes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 12-0. If Gilbert Reix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Papillion Cheek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Sellberg in the 87th minute of the match. Papillion Cheek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gösta Sellberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omer Vandevoorde hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Silvestre Derwin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orval Briggs, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Silvestre Derwin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orval Briggs in the 91st minute of the match. A collision led to En Avant Nikko getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Djamel Malouda hit a great ball. En Avant Nikko's Mourad Durieu was substituted for Albert Harbuz. In the 94th match minute, Toronto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudolf Talbot to maneuver through the defense. Silvestre Derwin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervais Dudley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. En Avant Nikko walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
