Francis Murtopo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xamo Moreira in the 12th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Rapid Wien's goalkeeper Alberigo Prato had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaudencio Fraco. In the 16th minute Leon Barten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francis Murtopo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xamo Moreira in the 19th minute of play forced Pap FC's goalkeeper Francis Murtopo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Rapid Wien's Alberigo Prato got control of the ball when Eugenios Saridakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Pap FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Pavlos Salaminiotis hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Thanks to some nice moves Leon Barten could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Francis Murtopo however easily saved by the left post.
