In the 8th minute, Kanu Kanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Pepsi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Pepsi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yao Jing Zhen was slow to take the kick. During this time FC LauB's players had a chance to rest. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joshua Sammut Castelletti in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hampus Söderström saved FC LauB from getting behind. FC Pepsi's Joshua Sammut Castelletti got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Kjell-Arne Björck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute Joshua Sammut Castelletti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hampus Söderström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC LauB booed when FC Pepsi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Sammut Castelletti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pueblo Puerta in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Paul Holmstedt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 32ndth minute of the game Mario Mendez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Pepsi's Paul Holmstedt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 34 minutes of play, FC LauB's Mario Mendez made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paul Holmstedt was left in no man's land by his defense there! 36 minutes into the match, FC Pepsi's Kanu Kanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hampus Söderström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hampus Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joshua Sammut Castelletti in the 47th minute of play. After the first half FC Pepsi were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Kanu Kanus short, quick shot in the 50thth minute got Hampus Söderström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 52 minutes into the match, Joshua Sammut Castelletti dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hampus Söderström, 1-3. Kanu Kanu in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hampus Söderström, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kanu Kanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hampus Söderström having to make a save. Hampus Söderström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kanu Kanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st match minute, FC LauB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tord Tinglöf to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Sammut Castelletti in the 66th minute of play forced FC LauB's goalkeeper Hampus Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Joshua Sammut Castelletti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hampus Söderström. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yao Jing Zhen was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 72nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. FC LauB made a substitution. Oriche Rotges replaced Kjell-Arne Björck. After 77 minutes FC LauB's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cao Rong Jian who took care of the corner kick. 79 minutes into the match, FC LauB's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Sammut Castelletti came free, but Hampus Söderström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jakob Siggman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hampus Söderström having to make a save. FC LauB's Hampus Söderström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save FC LauB from getting a goal against them. In the 84th minute, Kanu Kanu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hampus Söderström. The goal made the score 1-6. With a little luck, FC LauB's Hampus Söderström got control of the ball when Kanu Kanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Pepsi eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
