The Los Muchachos del 86 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Atahan Balon should have stopped the shot. A nice corner shot did that Petrică Măcriș got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Atahan Balon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luka Ljubenković stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The corner led ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Petrică Măcriș to fire away a dangerous shot which Atahan Balon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luka Ljubenković in the 56th minute of play. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Muchachos del 86's goalkeeper Atahan Balon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Los Muchachos del 86's Efrain Jacob was substituted for Luka Ljubenković. Atahan Balon acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 99th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Petrică Măcriș. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
