The supporters of Sporting de Gijón booed when A.C ALDO BONZI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramazan Pancareken didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramazan Pancareken in the 19th minute of play forced Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Óscar Cordoba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sporting de Gijón fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Ramazan Pancareken managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.C ALDO BONZI's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramazan Pancareken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Óscar Cordoba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pascoal Saraiva charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pascoal Saraiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes A.C ALDO BONZI got a freekick which was hit by Pascoal Saraiva. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramazan Pancareken in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Óscar Cordoba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ramazan Pancareken's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Óscar Cordoba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Ramazan Pancareken came free, but Óscar Cordoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A.C ALDO BONZI were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Sporting de Gijón's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexander Zaccardi took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Pascoal Saraiva managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Sporting de Gijón's Wayne Rooney was substituted for Alejandro Rufo.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramazan Pancareken stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Sporting de Gijón got a corner.
