Enzo Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 脫scar Cordoba having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paco Sancho in the 11th minute of play forced Sporting de Gij贸n's goalkeeper 脫scar Cordoba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 minutes Sporting de Gij贸n's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Clemente Azeari who took care of the corner kick. Venancio Emesto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Maximino Merexildo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Maximino Merexildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Bilintx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matias Bilintx blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maximino Merexildo having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enzo Peres in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 脫scar Cordoba saved Sporting de Gij贸n from getting behind. Enzo Peres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 脫scar Cordoba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. If Enzo Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maximino Merexildo came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting de Gij贸n's Matias Bilintx. But to his dismay, Matias Bilintx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0.
TIBURON F.C made a substitution. Carolo Llorenc replaced Clemente Azeari. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enzo Peres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 93rd minute Diego Maradona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Merexildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Carlos Sa煤l Menem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 脫scar Cordoba made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Paco Sancho sent off a good shot on target. TIBURON F.C's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
