Cristian Vladimirescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Francis, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
