An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Francis in the 3rd minute of play forced Brown Puerto Madryn's goalkeeper Santiago Nataniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elpidio Francis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 6thth minute tested the skills of Santiago Nataniel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Brown Puerto Madryn's Santiago Nataniel got control of the ball when Elpidio Francis tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Elpidio Francis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the match, Brown Puerto Madryn's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Francis came free, but Santiago Nataniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Dorin Horia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brown Puerto Madryn's Santiago Nataniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Dalmu in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Taaniel Hill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Olle Snell got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elpidio Francis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santiago Nataniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. After some careless play in the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA defense, Rodrigo De Paul kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Branislav Velchevski. After 38 minutes Brown Puerto Madryn's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Petrică Măcriș who took care of the corner kick. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Brown Puerto Madryn's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Petrică Măcriș took the corner. Rafael Dalmu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Eleuterio Sedeni made in the 45th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Pál Dömötör immediately put the ball in play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting a goal against them. Santiago Nataniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Francis in the 63rd minute of play. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús was substituted for Elpidio Francis.
