United Arab Emirates's Morjan Al Sayer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdellatif Benkhirane in the 65th minute of play. Michel Preudhomme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Best Playe went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The referee ignored United Arab Emirates's protests and gave Morjan Al Ateqi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute, Morjan Al Ateqi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
