An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Goicoechea in the 4th minute of play forced Jordan's goalkeeper Ken Warner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Darío Friederichs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Mann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, Alfonso Goicoechea notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Jordan's Ken Warner. Ken Warner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ken Warner was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlo Darrigrande showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 10 minute of play. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jordan's goalkeeper Ken Warner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ken Warner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlo Darrigrande's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Darío Friederichs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugh Pope in the 17th minute of the match. Marty Brooks kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Ken Warner was a little too slow when Carlo Darrigrande got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 3-0. With a little luck, Jordan's Ken Warner got control of the ball when Carlo Darrigrande tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute, Carlo Darrigrande reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ken Warner. The goal made the score 5-0. Ken Warner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Darrigrande in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match Chile got a corner. Jordan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claudio-Paul Pirinchev ran over to the corner to take the kick. Claudio-Paul Pirinchev made a great header on Chile's corner, it was just that Jordan's Ken Warner managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Chile booed when Jordan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tyrone Coleman didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Chile fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Chile's Carlo Darrigrande looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tommy Farrow kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlo Darrigrande stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patrick Mann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jordan's Ken Warner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlo Darrigrande in the 55th minute of play. If Carlo Darrigrande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bautista Marcó fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ken Warner having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Jordan's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Salas came free, but Ken Warner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jordan's Ken Warner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Maria Píriz in the 70th minute of play. Marcelo Salas scored 8-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ken Warner, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ken Warner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustacio Antonucci in the 79th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Eustacio Antonucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ken Warner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eustacio Antonucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ken Warner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eustacio Antonucci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute Eustacio Antonucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ken Warner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tyrone Coleman kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Jordan made a substitution. Rhys Gibbons replaced Christopher Lofthouse. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eustacio Antonucci in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ken Warner prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
