But to his dismay, Daniel Mikla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Taavi Hulkkonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Mikla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Taavi Hulkkonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Mikla, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. A collision led to Finland getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Mikko Rintala hit a great ball. Slovakia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ant Man in the 13th minute. Taavi Hulkkonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Mikla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Taavi Hulkkonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Mikla in the 16th minute of the match. Taavi Hulkkonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Mikla, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Kaapo Velikiy made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Ukko Pihkala sent off a good shot on target. Kaapo Velikiy was a little too slow when Rio Ferdinand got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 1-1. Slovakia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Valdemar Kuoppala scored to the left of an out of position Kaapo Velikiy, making the score, 2-1. Kaapo Velikiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taisto Pentsinen in the 38th minute of play. In the 38th minute Taisto Pentsinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaapo Velikiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ukko Pihkala scored 3-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kaapo Velikiy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rio Ferdinand took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kaapo Velikiy. Kaapo Velikiy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Finland's Sylvesteri Valkama was substituted for Rio Ferdinand. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 66th minute, Sylvesteri Valkama left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Finland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. The audience was convinced that Daniel Mikla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Taavi Hulkkonen was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Sylvesteri Valkama scored 6-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kaapo Velikiy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 93rd minute, Ant Man hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tero Kokkonen missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 95 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Kaapo Velikiy right hand side. 99 minutes into the match, Slovakia's goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar Kuoppala came free, but Kaapo Velikiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
