Hungary's Arnold Szuper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gojko Bešlić in the 40th minute of play. Semir Jakubović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pál Polyák in the 41st minute of the match. Arnold Szuper stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Branislav Cokić's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tivadar Demeter in the 44th minute of play forced Bosnia And Hercegovina's goalkeeper Semir Jakubović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Hungary were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Semir Jakubović was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bosnia And Hercegovina's goalkeeper Semir Jakubović, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hungary's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
