Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mbaka Mbolu made the kick off which started today's match. If Patrick Hanselmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dominik Klaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacob Josef Zurflüh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Billy Goolen in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Hanselmann in the 18th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Manuel Campens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Konstantin Hofmeister's late challenge caught a Belgium's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Konstantin Hofmeister helped the player get up and apologised. 21 minutes into the match, Billy Goolen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacob Josef Zurflüh. Liechtenstein's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Billy Goolen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jacob Josef Zurflüh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Billy Goolen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edy Wille kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Remco Van Achten was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Liechtenstein's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sebastian Allgäuer in the 32nd minute. The corner led Liechtenstein's Sebastian Allgäuer to fire away a dangerous shot which Manuel Campens despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jacob Josef Zurflüh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billy Goolen, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Andries in the 41st minute of play forced Liechtenstein's goalkeeper Jacob Josef Zurflüh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Liechtenstein's Dominik Klaus got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half Belgium were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrick Hanselmann to strike the kick off in the second half. Mbaka Mbolu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Jacob Josef Zurflüh made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lukas Domuzeti during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 58 played minutes Liechtenstein got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Domuzeti. Liechtenstein's Gerd Milutinov was substituted for Andreas Fromm. Liechtenstein's Samuel Keller was substituted for Dominik Klaus. With a little luck, Liechtenstein's Jacob Josef Zurflüh got control of the ball when Billy Goolen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Liechtenstein's Jacob Josef Zurflüh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mbaka Mbolu in the 70th minute of play. Billy Goolen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Jacob Josef Zurflüh made a huge save. Jacob Josef Zurflüh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Andries in the 72nd minute of the match. Manuel Campens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Hanselmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Campens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Hanselmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Belgium's Joel Wigghers was substituted for Niels Vandamme. Billy Goolen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Jacob Josef Zurflüh made a huge save. The Belgium supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Belgium would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
