Ingi Castilho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nertil Maldini, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ilmi Duka in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ingi Castilho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ingi Castilho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilmi Duka in the 26th minute of the match. After 32 minutes Albania's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fríðrikur Ellingsgaard who took care of the corner kick. Vibar Vërçuni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingi Castilho having to interfere. Ingi Castilho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nderim Pepo, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ásbjørn Jónsson got free with Marjus Laçka in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 39 played minutes Albania got a freekick which was hit by Ilmi Duka. Frai Shehu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ingi Castilho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nderim Pepo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After 46 minutes, Nderim Pepo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Faroe Islands's Ingi Castilho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nderim Pepo to strike the kick off in the second half. Faroe Islands's Ingi Castilho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frai Shehu in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Faroe Islands's goalkeeper Ingi Castilho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frai Shehu. After 78th play minutes Frai Shehu shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Ingi Castilho and just under the crossbar into goal. Albania's Fisnik Qiraxhi was substituted for Nertil Maldini.
