Spectators: 1028 (Terracing: 772, Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Algitas Kaščiukaitis started the match with the kick off. Kęstutis Raziulis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Vogrinčič in the 3rd minute of the match. Algitas Kaščiukaitis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Klemen Mikuž having to make a save. 5 minutes into the match, Slovenia's goal looked a bit too open when Algitas Kaščiukaitis came free, but Klemen Mikuž reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Klemen Mikuž showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Algitas Kaščiukaitis, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Armando Vogrinčič took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kęstutis Raziulis. Kęstutis Raziulis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Algitas Kaščiukaitis came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Lithuania fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Algitas Kaščiukaitis couldn't finish the play. Armando Vogrinčič blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kęstutis Raziulis having to make a save. In the 20th match minute, Slovenia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvester Čuvan to maneuver through the defense. Klemen Mikuž made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Algitas Kaščiukaitis in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes in the game Virgilijus Van Dijk did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Algitas Dubauskas. In the 25th minute, Algitas Kaščiukaitis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lithuania were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Slovenia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Algitas Dubauskas took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Virgilijus Van Dijk got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Klemen Mikuž quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Armando Vogrinčič blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kęstutis Raziulis having to make a save. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Kęstutis Raziulis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Klemen Mikuž showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Algitas Kaščiukaitis in the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Lithuania's Algitas Kaščiukaitis got a free kick in the 36th minute. Algitas Dubauskas hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Slovenia's Silvester Čuvan got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Silvester Čuvan kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. If Algitas Kaščiukaitis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lithuania's Kęstutis Raziulis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Vogrinčič in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Vogrinčič to make the kick off. Virgilijus Van Dijk got a throw-in 51 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Algitas Kaščiukaitis. 54 minutes into the game, Armando Vogrinčič cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Kęstutis Raziulis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kęstutis Raziulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Vogrinčič in the 57th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Štefan Saje got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kęstutis Raziulis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Algitas Kaščiukaitis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klemen Mikuž having to interfere. Lithuania made a substitution. Gražvydas Drąsutis replaced Virgilijus Van Dijk. After a rather tough play, Slovenia's Silvester Čuvan got a free kick in the 65th minute. Klemen Mikuž made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Algitas Kaščiukaitis in the 69th minute of play. After 72 played minutes Slovenia got a freekick which was hit by Silvester Čuvan. After having played for 80 minutes, Algitas Kaščiukaitis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lithuania's supporters crossed their fingers, but Algitas Kaščiukaitis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Slovenia's Frank Hostar was substituted for Armando Vogrinčič. After 86 minutes of play, Slovenia's Frank Hostar made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kęstutis Raziulis was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 92 minutes, Frank Hostar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slovenia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Hostar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Klemen Mikuž made an important save on a dangerous shot by Algitas Kaščiukaitis in the 94th minute. Kęstutis Raziulis came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Slovenia's Frank Hostar. But to his dismay, Frank Hostar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0.
