Spectators: 1028 (Terracing: 772, Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) Frai Shehu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, Albania's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Vogrinčič came free, but Marjus Laçka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frai Shehus short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Klemen Mikuž to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 9 minutes into the match, Slovenia's Milisav Lovrec sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marjus Laçka narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Slovenia's Klemen Mikuž got control of the ball when Mehat Kovaçi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Albania were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Slovenia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nexhat Shaho took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rugerij Vovk in the 27th minute of play forced Albania's goalkeeper Marjus Laçka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Vogrinčič blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marjus Laçka having to make a save. Frai Shehu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Klemen Mikuž made a huge save. After 36 minutes Slovenia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nexhat Shaho who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Slovenia booed when Albania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehat Kovaçi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Klemen Mikuž took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marjus Dragoti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Slovenia's goalkeeper Klemen Mikuž, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armando Vogrinčič made a kick off. Slovenia's Klemen Mikuž played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehat Kovaçi in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Albania's Marjus Dragoti got a free kick in the 59th minute. When Ožbalt Ajdič came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Slovenia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ožbalt Ajdič couldn't finish the play. Armando Vogrinčič struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Marjus Laçka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slovenia. Slovenia's Alben Ržen was substituted for Rugerij Vovk. After having played for 79 minutes, Frank Hostar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slovenia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Hostar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute of the game Mitat Shaho made a throw-in which Paolo Mut played forward. Klemen Mikuž didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frai Shehu went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Marjus Laçka was a little too slow when Alben Ržen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 1-1. Blažo Koren kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
