Carlos Germano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohamed Salah in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Atlanta's Benigno Abreu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emil Duset made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to Sundborn IF getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Karl-Axel Klint hit a great ball. Remigio Erramu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paolo Caradaro in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emil Duset prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Salah in the 25th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benigno Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Duset having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarl Axelsson in the 31st minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jarl Axelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
