Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryszard Borcz in the 2nd minute of play. In the 5th minute of the match, Eustaquio Jaizki got a very nice opportunity to score, but Horea Hurmuzache was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Carlos Germano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Nicodim in the 8th minute of play. After 9 played minutes, DINAMO's Henric Casas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Germano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in DINAMO reached it. Horea Hurmuzache was a little too slow when Eustaquio Jaizki got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. With his leg Horea Hurmuzache managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Club Atlético Atlanta's Eustaquio Jaizki fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 17th minute, Paolo Caradaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Germano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucrețiu Nicodim in the 23rd minute of the match. DINAMO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lucrețiu Nicodim in the 24th minute. The corner led DINAMO's Lucrețiu Nicodim to fire away a dangerous shot which Carlos Germano despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Călin Feroiu in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Germano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eustaquio Jaizki's late challenge caught a DINAMO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eustaquio Jaizki helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Jaizki. Horea Hurmuzache made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eustaquio Jaizki in the 32nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Călin Feroiu came free, but Carlos Germano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horea Hurmuzache took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Jaizki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Benigno Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Horea Hurmuzache stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eustaquio Jaizki's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eustaquio Jaizki in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horea Hurmuzache saved DINAMO from getting behind. Eustaquio Jaizki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Călin Feroiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Carlos Germano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70thth minute of the game Eustaquio Jaizki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Club Atlético Atlanta's Paolo Caradaro got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Jaizki in the 76th minute of play forced DINAMO's goalkeeper Horea Hurmuzache to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Nicodim in the 77th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute Remigio Erramu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horea Hurmuzache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Club Atlético Atlanta fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Club Atlético Atlanta's Eustaquio Jaizki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Horea Hurmuzache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Abreu in the 84th minute of the match. When Eustaquio Jaizki came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Club Atlético Atlanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eustaquio Jaizki couldn't finish the play. Horea Hurmuzache stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eustaquio Jaizki's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
