Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Fernandez in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Ernesto Fernandez got a free kick in the 36th minute. Opah Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Jaizki in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Fernandez came free, but Carlos Germano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Remigio Erramu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and GuateFortín's Opah Gol didn't even have to move. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eustaquio Jaizki made a kick off. A hard shot 51 in the game by Eustaquio Jaizki from a close distance when the talented Opah Gol managed to make a qualified save. GuateFortín's players were relieved. Ciro Ferdinand tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Carlos Germano. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-1 in the 58th minute. After 63 played minutes Eustaquio Jaizki rounded GuateFortín's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paolo Caradaro got free with Opah Gol in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Epifanio Berriotxoa got a free kick in the 70th minute. Epifanio Berriotxoa kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan José Ferraro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Eustaquio Jaizki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Opah Gol.
