Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Matias Bilintx kicked off to start the match. 0-1 became the score in the 3rd minute when Matias Bilintx elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sporting de Gijón's Alejandro Rufo got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diego Maradona took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen. Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 13 minutes into the game, Wayne Rooney cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th match minute, Sporting de Gijón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Bilintx to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matias Bilintx in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen saved Vestmanna FS from getting behind. 21 minutes into the game, Diego Maradona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24thth minute of the game Matias Bilintx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vestmanna FS's Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Diego Maradona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting de Gijón's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Maradona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Matias Bilintx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen having to interfere. Diego Maradona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Matias Bilintx left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting de Gijón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Sporting de Gijón made a substitution. Saturnino Curcio replaced Kauan de Barros. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-10 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Herbert Kruse to make the kick off. When Saturnino Curcio came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Sporting de Gijón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saturnino Curcio couldn't finish the play. Matias Bilintx took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen. Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. After 63 played minutes Sporting de Gijón got a freekick which was hit by Diego Maradona. Matias Bilintx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Matias Bilintx notched a goal, 0-13, to the right of Vestmanna FS's Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen. Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 76 minutes into the match, Vestmanna FS's goalkeeper Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Saturnino Curcio. Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saturnino Curcio in the 78th minute. Saturnino Curcio might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saturnino Curcio ran back to his position shaking his head. Matias Bilintx in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Saturnino Curcio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen having to interfere. Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Saturnino Curcio sent off a good shot on target. Saturnino Curcio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen made a huge save. Saturnino Curcio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sporting de Gijón played a much better game than Vestmanna FS and deserved their victory. The Vestmanna FS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
