In the 7th minute, Hugo Loi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th match minute, INDEPENDIENTE F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenico Rosato to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th match minute, Liverpool Fans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Velichko Rakadzhiev to maneuver through the defense. Marcial Estavan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Velichko Rakadzhiev in the 23rd minute. After 25 played minutes Liverpool Fans got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Chepe. The Liverpool Fans fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Candeloro should have stopped the shot. INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Marcial Estavan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save INDEPENDIENTE F.C. from getting a goal against them. When INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Dagoberto Neila in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 86th minute Velichko Rakadzhiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Estavan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Liverpool Fans's Jacobo Chepe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcial Estavan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ernesto Candeloro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herminio Iratze in the 93rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Herminio Iratze kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ernesto Candeloro. That made the score 1-2 in the 94 minute of play. The INDEPENDIENTE F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing INDEPENDIENTE F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
