After 7 minutes of play, BK Tåfjutt's Olof Soned made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Godo Gøl was left in no man's land by his defense there! Claes Telin's late challenge caught a FC Lugano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claes Telin helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of BK Tåfjutt booed when FC Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pattharawut Sirikeartkumjorn didn't get a good kick on the ball. BK Tåfjutt's Niklas Ålberg couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Lugano. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Qiao Jian in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eric Olofsson saved BK Tåfjutt from getting behind. After 39 played minutes BK Tåfjutt got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Åke Deckberg. The supporters of BK Tåfjutt booed when FC Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garnier Nüesch didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qiao Jian in the 44th minute of play forced BK Tåfjutt's goalkeeper Eric Olofsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Qiao Jian made a kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Lugano's Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon got a free kick in the 52nd minute. If Lukas Melander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 55th minute Lukas Melander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godo Gøl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Lugano's Godo Gøl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukas Melander in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Garnier Nüesch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Oni Nerad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The BK Tåfjutt fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Lugano had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
