After 28 played minutes Informaniaticos got a freekick which was hit by Teo Belo. FC Lugano made a substitution. Qiao Jian replaced Ray Büeler. A collision led to Informaniaticos getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Teo Belo hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Qiao Jian in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horacio Calvino saved Informaniaticos from getting behind. When Gerardo Malvin fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Informaniaticos's protests and gave Gerardo Malvin a yellow card for diving instead. Gerardo Malvin hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, Informaniaticos's goal looked a bit too open when Qiao Jian came free, but Horacio Calvino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37thth minute of the game Qiao Jian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Informaniaticos's Horacio Calvino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Horacio Calvino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dionisio Goren during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 played minutes Informaniaticos got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Goren. In the 48th minute, Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul made a precise shot to the right of Horacio Calvino. Informaniaticos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matias Cordarrel was the one to do the kick off. The FC Lugano fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when FC Lugano's Qiao Jian looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Saturnino Frascuelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godo Gøl having to interfere. In the 58th minute Romeo Peruxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godo Gøl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Saturnino Frascuelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Lugano's Gian-Carlo Van Den Maagdenberg was substituted for Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon. FC Lugano's Favian Muff was substituted for Teddy Racine. After 59 played minutes Informaniaticos got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Frascuelo. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Vico Sticher managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lugano's supporters rose to their feet, but Vico Sticher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horacio Calvino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 63 minutes into the match, Informaniaticos's goalkeeper Horacio Calvino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Qiao Jian. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Qiao Jian in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horacio Calvino saved Informaniaticos from getting behind. If Saturnino Frascuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horacio Calvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 70th minute of play. In the 73rd minute of the match Informaniaticos got a corner. FC Lugano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elpidio Sugoi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Horacio Calvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gian-Carlo Van Den Maagdenberg in the 74th minute of the match. FC Lugano were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Informaniaticos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gian-Carlo Van Den Maagdenberg took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-3 in the 75th minute. Horacio Calvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 79th minute of the match. Informaniaticos's Horacio Calvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 84th minute of play. Horacio Calvino made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Qiao Jian sent off a good shot on target. FC Lugano's Qiao Jian was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 86th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The supporters of FC Lugano booed when Informaniaticos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Luar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Informaniaticos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Lugano were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
