But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aras Daman couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Vico Sticher ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yıldırım Yaman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 23 minutes of play, FC Lugano's Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 83rd minute of play forced Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper Yıldırım Yaman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe's goal looked a bit too open when Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul came free, but Yıldırım Yaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10. A collision led to Fenerbahçe getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Oğuzalp Ak hit a great ball. After 92 played minutes Fenerbahçe got a freekick which was hit by Emirşah Serdinç. After 94 minutes of play, FC Lugano's Qiao Jian made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yıldırım Yaman was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC Lugano's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
