The supporters of Gonzo Goal booed when Toronto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlo Witt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 5 minutes, Paun Pastuhov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gonzo Goal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paun Pastuhov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Abraham Mejia came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Toronto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Mejia couldn't finish the play. 12 minutes in the game, Hervé Watson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Toshko Moldovanov having to interfere. Hervé Watson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Toshko Moldovanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Abraham Mejia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toshko Moldovanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tim Tovar, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 18 played minutes Gonzo Goal got a freekick which was hit by Stoyne Mandzhukov. In the 19th minute, Toronto FC's Abraham Mejia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Toshko Moldovanov. Toshko Moldovanov yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Paun Pastuhov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gonzo Goal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Hervé Watson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. After having played for 75 minutes, Kyle Souplet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Toronto FC fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Toronto FC's Abraham Mejia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
