Kyle Souplet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Artur Walczyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Toronto FC's Tim Tovar in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mauda's goalie prevented a goal. Marek Rykaczewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marek Rykaczewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Artur Walczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Mejia in the 16th minute of play. Abraham Mejia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artur Walczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Souplet in the 22nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Benedykt Palzewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mauda's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedykt Palzewicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Papillion Cheek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Toronto FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Robbie Plante hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Toronto FC's goalkeeper Papillion Cheek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedykt Palzewicz. Kyle Souplet kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 36 played minutes, Toronto FC's Abraham Mejia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Artur Walczyk came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Toronto FC reached it. When Cezary Antoszewski fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mauda's protests and gave Cezary Antoszewski a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes Mauda got a freekick which was hit by Cezary Antoszewski. In the 46th match minute, Toronto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robbie Plante to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a defensive mix-up in Mauda's zone, Tim Tovar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Walczyk came out of the goal and Tim Tovar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tim Tovar struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Artur Walczyk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toronto FC. The crowd rose to their feet as Toronto FC's Abraham Mejia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Artur Walczyk. That made the score 0-1 after 69 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Abraham Mejia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toronto FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Mejia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Walczyk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 74 played minutes Mauda got a freekick which was hit by Mikolaj Niewiadomski. 76 minutes into the game, Wincenty Fetor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mauda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Toronto FC the free kick. A collision led to Mauda getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Wincenty Fetor hit a great ball. Artur Walczyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Mejia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlo Witt hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. When the match was over Toronto FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mauda throughout the match.
