The coaching staff of Malmö FF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Holger Berglund had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. If Johnny Ferm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Östen Johnsson came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Malmö FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Östen Johnsson couldn't finish the play. Valentin Leguizamón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krister Jonasson in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute of the match Malmö FF got a corner. Carlitos Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vilhelm Vollander ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carlitos Team's goalkeeper Valentin Leguizamón, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 任国彬's shot straight on target was not completely harmless.
