In the 5th minute Tim Tovar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Goyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Toronto FC's Kyle Souplet got a free kick in the 7th minute. Toronto FC were furious when Hyman Buckner was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 9 minutes into the game, one of Toronto FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a little luck, Kessinzudo's Agustin Goyo got control of the ball when Matthieu Daigle tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Kessinzudo's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Mejia came free, but Agustin Goyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agustin Goyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lenny Berger in the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kessinzudo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Mejia was slow to take the kick. During this time Toronto FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Toronto FC's corner Abraham Mejia fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Agustin Goyo quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hervé Watson in the 32nd minute of play forced Kessinzudo's goalkeeper Agustin Goyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kessinzudo's Agustin Goyo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Kessinzudo from getting a goal against them. Artur de Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Toronto FC's Abraham Mejia in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After the first half Kessinzudo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Artur de Godoi made a kick off. After 50 played minutes Toronto FC got a freekick which was hit by Rueben Cooley. Toronto FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Leonides Ramos 54 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Agustin Goyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Mejia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Ramos in the 61st minute of play forced Toronto FC's goalkeeper Papillion Cheek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Hervé Watson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toronto FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hervé Watson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agustin Goyo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Leonides Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Kessinzudo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonides Ramos couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute of the game, Matthieu Daigle landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 74 minutes, Ramiro Catarinense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kessinzudo and the Toronto FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Toronto FC's Papillion Cheek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Toronto FC from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute, Kessinzudo's Leonides Ramos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Papillion Cheek. Papillion Cheek yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Ramiro Catarinense hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
