Papillion Cheek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 19th minute Kyle Souplet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceppy Sulaiman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Oktavianus during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 22 played minutes PSPS RIAU got a freekick which was hit by John Oktavianus. In the 25th minute, Kholil Prakoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th play minute Tim Tovar came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ceppy Sulaiman. 1-1. A collision led to Toronto FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Matthieu Daigle hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yanyan Sukmara in the 43rd minute of play forced Toronto FC's goalkeeper Papillion Cheek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hervé Watson charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hervé Watson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Toronto FC's Matthieu Daigle got a free kick in the 68th minute. Toronto FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Daffa Ie 68 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. The supporters of Toronto FC booed when PSPS RIAU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aji Ardiwilaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. John Oktavianus hit a great ball. Ceppy Sulaiman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Mejia in the 93rd minute of the match.
