Toronto FC's Papillion Cheek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Areosa in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Toronto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Pereira came free, but Papillion Cheek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lance Lacey during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute, Lance Lacey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilbur Flowers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neide Almeida having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Pereira couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orval Briggs got free with Neide Almeida in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Toronto FC's Papillion Cheek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Pereira in the 38th minute of play. East Kealsdf's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Wilbur Flowers scored to the left of an out of position Neide Almeida, making the score, 3-1. Papillion Cheek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Pereira in the 45th minute of the match. A collision led to Toronto FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Matthieu Daigle hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orval Briggs made a kick off. With a little luck, Toronto FC's Papillion Cheek got control of the ball when Emílio Pereira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abraham Mejia scored 4-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Neide Almeida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ivó Carvoeiro scored 4-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Papillion Cheek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilbur Flowers in the 72nd minute of play forced East Kealsdf's goalkeeper Neide Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Wilbur Flowers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Toronto FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. 77 minutes into the match, East Kealsdf's goal looked a bit too open when Wilbur Flowers came free, but Neide Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Abraham Mejia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The East Kealsdf fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Neide Almeida should have stopped the shot. 88 minutes into the game, Toronto FC's Rudolf Talbot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Neide Almeida made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-2. Toronto FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
