Lunatics of Arianrhod's Eugenio Manfredi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Lunatics of Arianrhod from getting a goal against them. In the 46th minute Fedele Panza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gottfrid Hedström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ertan Duman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Ernesto Benedetti was substituted for Johan Ström. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
