He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Boyle McJohn. Cullan Prunty blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nereo Ayala having to make a save. Placido Cordarryls short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Boyle McJohn to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romulo Cedro made a kick off. In the 56th minute Ciarán McCollion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Ayala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Templarios juniors's Placido Cordarryl got a free kick in the 60th minute. Boyle McJohn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Cordarryl, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Ciarán McCollion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Templarios juniors made a substitution. Marcos Calisto replaced Manuel Chale. Templarios juniors's Mateo Ponc was substituted for Luisito Belarmo. After having played for 76 minutes, Cayetano Montay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Templarios juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cayetano Montay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Templarios juniors made a substitution. Laureano Fernandez replaced Placido Cordarryl. Boyle McJohn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaudencio Cebrian in the 79th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Romulo Cedro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Boyle McJohn quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Nereo Ayala successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Knocktemple FC's Ciarán McCollion got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boyle McJohn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Fernandez in the 88th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Templarios juniors's Laureano Fernandez got a free kick in the 90th minute. Gaudencio Cebrian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boyle McJohn having to make a save.
When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Knocktemple FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
