Håvard Levang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göktürk Semin having to interfere. With an all-out effort, MaviAteşSK's Hugo Moraes threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Karl-Ove Sörman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 9 minutes, Håvard Levang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FRANK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Håvard Levang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Steve Yzerman came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the FRANK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steve Yzerman couldn't finish the play. Göktürk Semin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Ignado in the 17th minute of the match. FRANK's Hugo Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save FRANK from getting a goal against them. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arif Ozan Sağınç made a kick off.
