The audience was convinced that Nickolai Nickerson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cihan Zafer was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the last second Cihan Zafer throw himself and got hold of the ball when Nickolai Nickerson in the 4thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 5 minutes had been played when some careless play by ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rei Bolas was slow to take the kick. During this time Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Valentin Elg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s Cihan Zafer did a great save. Henk Veerman scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eric Soned, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s Cihan Zafer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nickolai Nickerson in the 13th minute of play. Cihan Zafer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nickolai Nickerson in the 14th minute of play. Carlo Ancelotti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Cihan Zafer made a huge save. After 18 minutes ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rei Bolas who took care of the corner kick. Cihan Zafer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlo Ancelotti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cihan Zafer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jim Njurenius showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 26 minute of play. With a little luck, ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s Cihan Zafer got control of the ball when Carlo Ancelotti tried to sneak it across the goal line. ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s Cihan Zafer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jim Njurenius in the 44th minute of play. Jim Njurenius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 58th minute Henk Veerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Soned saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute Jim Njurenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cihan Zafer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henk Veerman took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eric Soned. Eric Soned dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Per-Arne Gunnarsson was substituted for Jim Njurenius. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henk Veerman got free with Eric Soned in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rei Bolas hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute Lukasz Wietrzychowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Soned saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. A well-hit corner resulted in Hasan Bağış heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely.
