An unexpectedly hard shot by Pelle Haglund in the 6th minute of play forced Downchester City's goalkeeper Xepe Gandia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Pelle Haglund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xepe Gandia. Downchester City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pelle Haglund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 18th minute, Natal Quintanilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Defensores de Lombroso's Tadeo Laurgain proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Defensores de Lombroso from getting a goal against them. The Defensores de Lombroso fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Defensores de Lombroso's Natal Quintanilla looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 28th minute, Edi Cavani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xepe Gandia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The audience was convinced that Edi Cavani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xepe Gandia was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. In the 34th minute Pelle Haglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xepe Gandia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Natal Quintanilla got free in front of the goal in the 36th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Xepe Gandia was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ramon Edur kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Edi Cavani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Defensores de Lombroso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edi Cavani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 44 played minutes Downchester City got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Rodríguez. Downchester City's Xepe Gandia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edi Cavani in the 44th minute of play. After the first half Defensores de Lombroso were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Pelle Haglund made the kick off in the second half. Defensores de Lombroso's Tadeo Laurgain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javi Sanchez in the 54th minute of play. Pelle Haglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xepe Gandia having to interfere. Defensores de Lombroso made a substitution. Waldir Guerra replaced Edi Cavani. The crowd rose to their feet as Waldir Guerra kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Xepe Gandia. That made the score 0-4 in the 63 minute of play. The supporters of Downchester City booed when Defensores de Lombroso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pelle Haglund didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Defensores de Lombroso's goal looked a bit too open when Jamar Paige came free, but Tadeo Laurgain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xepe Gandia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pelle Haglund in the 69th minute of the match. Xepe Gandia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pelle Haglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Downchester City getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jamar Paige hit a great ball. Natal Quintanilla's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Xepe Gandia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Xepe Gandia made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Pelle Haglund sent off a good shot on target. After 77 minutes of play, Defensores de Lombroso's Natal Quintanilla made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xepe Gandia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Xepe Gandia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pelle Haglund showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 81 minute of play. With a little luck, Downchester City's Xepe Gandia got control of the ball when Pelle Haglund tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th minute of the match, Benjamin Herrera got a very nice opportunity to score, but Xepe Gandia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Downchester City's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Benjamin Herrera 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-7. Xepe Gandia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldir Guerra in the 88th minute of play. Tadeo Laurgain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javi Sanchez in the 89th minute of the match. Defensores de Lombroso played a much better game than Downchester City and deserved their victory. The Downchester City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
