Niklas Sauter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 7 played minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Georg Gielchen. After a defensive mix-up in SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s zone, Min Hero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niklas Sauter came out of the goal and Min Hero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Niklas Sauter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Pontes in the 11th minute of the match. If Kaká Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Niklas Sauter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaká Pontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Kaká Pontes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niklas Sauter. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kaká Pontes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 30th minute, Kaká Pontes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TaTeRo Boys fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Kaká Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Kaká Pontes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niklas Sauter was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Kaká Pontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niklas Sauter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaká Pontes in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niklas Sauter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th minute, Kaká Pontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cirilo Urki to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Kaká Pontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niklas Sauter was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s David Pieth got a free kick in the 54th minute. Kaká Pontes might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Niklas Sauter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Kaká Pontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. TaTeRo Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaká Pontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niklas Sauter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 58 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Niklas Sauter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kaká Pontes. With his leg Niklas Sauter managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when TaTeRo Boys's Kaká Pontes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Roland Täger hit a great ball. With a little luck, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Niklas Sauter got control of the ball when Kaká Pontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. David Pieth kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Niklas Sauter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kaká Pontes.
