Flávio Mineiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Kaká Pontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eriberto Queirós read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Kaká Pontes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Eriberto Queirós was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 19 played minutes Engenheiros da Vila got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Castro. After some careless play in the Engenheiros da Vila defense, Kaká Pontes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eriberto Queirós. The Engenheiros da Vila fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eriberto Queirós should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, TaTeRo Boys's goalkeeper Bernardinho Sharkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geraldo Fernandez. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Engenheiros da Vila's goalkeeper Eriberto Queirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Kaká Pontes notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Engenheiros da Vila's Eriberto Queirós. Eriberto Queirós was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 40th minute Kaká Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Engenheiros da Vila's Eriberto Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Pontes in the 46th minute of play. After the first half TaTeRo Boys were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of TaTeRo Boys booed when Engenheiros da Vila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christiano Ronaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaká Pontes in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eriberto Queirós saved Engenheiros da Vila from getting behind. In the 60th minute Kaká Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardinho Sharkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sérgio Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardinho Sharkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geraldo Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After some careless play in the Engenheiros da Vila defense, Kaká Pontes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eriberto Queirós. The Engenheiros da Vila fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eriberto Queirós should have stopped the shot. After 86 played minutes TaTeRo Boys got a freekick which was hit by Kaká Pontes. The crowd rose to their feet as TaTeRo Boys's Kaká Pontes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eriberto Queirós. That made the score 1-6 after 91 minutes of play. 94 minutes into the match, TaTeRo Boys's Kaká Pontes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eriberto Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Engenheiros da Vila supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching TaTeRo Boys's performance. The match ended with a win for TaTeRo Boys.
