Aldo Abadia got a throw-in 16 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Beto Acosta. Edgard Rijaard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dieguito Riquelme, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. A throw-in in the 26th minute of the game was made by Aldo Abadia with Edgardo Garikoitz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ronald Lammens sped through Camarón Bombay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Raul Pueblo. If Martin Ødegaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Garikoitz took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgard Rijaard. Edgard Rijaard dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Denny van den Berg hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Edgard Rijaard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Garikoitz in the 40th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a rather tough play, Camarón Bombay's Baltasar Distiratsu got a free kick in the 50th minute. A collision led to Camarón Bombay getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Aldo Abadia hit a great ball. If Ronald Lammens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fc Benefica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Edgardo Garikoitz scored to the left of an out of position Edgard Rijaard, making the score, 1-2. Edgard Rijaard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Garikoitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Ronald Lammens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Raul Pueblo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raul Pueblo came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Fc Benefica's Ronald Lammens. But to his dismay, Ronald Lammens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. With 85 minutes on the clock, Hugo Andriessen commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fc Benefica! In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Camarón Bombay. Beto Acosta stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Edgard Rijaard. 2-3. Edgard Rijaard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Garikoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
