Shao Shu Lang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roman Gregory's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. In the 7th minute Carlos Eufrasio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shao Shu Lang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Encarale a la gordita's goalkeeper Shao Shu Lang had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedicto Naelio. In the 13th minute Pedrinho Falconetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Ildefonso Bernabel made a precise shot to the right of Lev Yashin. Argentina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, Argentina's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrinho Falconetti came free, but Lev Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Benedicto Naelio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shao Shu Lang was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Encarale a la gordita's Herman Lindholm was substituted for Ildefonso Bernabel. Encarale a la gordita made a substitution. Paulino Senon replaced Osvaldo Mendebal. The wind increased when Jurand Sienkowski made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedicto Naelio in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shao Shu Lang prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Shao Shu Lang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Naelio in the 55th minute of play. Shao Shu Lang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Naelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute Pedrinho Falconetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Miromir Pieknik threw the ball into play from the sideline. Argentina's Paolo-César Maldini quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 60th minute, Encarale a la gordita's Jurand Sienkowski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lev Yashin. Lev Yashin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Encarale a la gordita's Shao Shu Lang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Naelio in the 64th minute of play. Argentina's Lev Yashin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Argentina from getting a goal against them. 72 minutes into the match, Jurand Sienkowski notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Argentina's Lev Yashin. Lev Yashin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Argentina made a substitution. Baba Moco replaced Benedicto Naelio. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Encarale a la gordita's goalkeeper Shao Shu Lang, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baba Moco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Shao Shu Lang having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baba Moco in the 78th minute of play forced Encarale a la gordita's goalkeeper Shao Shu Lang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shao Shu Lang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baba Moco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Baba Moco sped through Encarale a la gordita's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Shao Shu Lang. Shao Shu Lang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baba Moco, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After a rather tough play, Argentina's Valentín Perales got a free kick in the 94th minute. Jurand Sienkowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lev Yashin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Baba Moco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Argentina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-4. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Argentina fans cheered their team off the field, for while Encarale a la gordita had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
