With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reed Molina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the match, Lane Martinez notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of San Antonio HotSPURS's Ulysses Reyes. Ulysses Reyes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. San Antonio HotSPURS's Caleb Roberts got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reed Molina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wade Hearn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. San Antonio HotSPURS's Robert McCord quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Phil Greene, made in the 44th minute of the game. 46 minutes into the match, San Antonio HotSPURS's goalkeeper Ulysses Reyes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lane Martinez. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Caleb Roberts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Reed Molina made a huge save. San Antonio HotSPURS made a substitution. Kerry Yoshioka replaced Simon Stover. In the 74th minute San Antonio HotSPURS were awarded a corner. Robert McCord went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 76th minute Lane Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kerry Yoshioka's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Reed Molina firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Wade Hearn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Reed Molina managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when San Antonio HotSPURS's Kerry Yoshioka fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
