When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patrick Fontenot made a kick off. Marcelo Gröhe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Fontenot in the 55th minute of the match. After 61 minutes of play, Cosmos Soccer Club's Patrick Fontenot made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Gröhe was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Wichita Regulators booed when Cosmos Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Patrick Fontenot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A well done corner resulted in Donovan Heath drilling the ball in to score 7-0 behind Wichita Regulators's goalkeeper. When Louie Bowden fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wichita Regulators's protests and gave Louie Bowden a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Wichita Regulators getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Louie Bowden hit a great ball. Federico Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelo Gröhe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Fontenot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cosmos Soccer Club had played much better football throughout.
