The supporters of Brooklyn SC booed when New England Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Scottie Ciauri didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Douglas Pace had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas Pace was slow to take the kick. During this time Brooklyn SC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Brooklyn SC's corner Douglas Pace fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Martin Markusson quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráuzio Barral in the 38th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Martin Markusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mete Ferro ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mete Ferro in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charlie Bucket prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Mete Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Charlie Bucket took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mete Ferro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Cory Kirkland. 60 minutes into the game, Douglas Pace was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brooklyn SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New England Minas the free kick. New England Minas had won after a very even match.
