American Airlines's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joesph Hager was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Marcelo Gröhe stood somewhat misplaced when Jonah Ryan came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 22 minute. In the 26th match minute, Wichita Regulators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stewart Lowery to maneuver through the defense. Wichita Regulators's Marcelo Gröhe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Wichita Regulators from getting a goal against them. Marcelo Gröhe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chandler Bing in the 31st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonah Ryan got free with Marcelo Gröhe in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcelo Gröhe made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Jonah Ryan sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute of the match American Airlines got a corner. Wichita Regulators's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joseph Mahoney ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 36 played minutes Wichita Regulators got a freekick which was hit by Joesph Hager. With a little luck, Wichita Regulators's Marcelo Gröhe got control of the ball when Joseph Mahoney tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Dominic Farrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Wichita Regulators's zone, Trinidad Khan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Gröhe came out of the goal and Trinidad Khan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonah Ryan was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Chandler Bing put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marcelo Gröhe. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armin Trabucco in the 55th minute of play forced Wichita Regulators's goalkeeper Marcelo Gröhe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonah Ryan scored 4-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Gröhe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Trinidad Khan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Marcelo Gröhe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Wichita Regulators's goal looked a bit too open when Chandler Bing came free, but Marcelo Gröhe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joesph Hager's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dale Skinner firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 70th minute, Trinidad Khan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Gröhe was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. After some careless play in the American Airlines defense, Ali Bagley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dale Skinner. The American Airlines fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dale Skinner should have stopped the shot. Wichita Regulators's Marcelo Gröhe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonah Ryan in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Chandler Bing notched a goal, 7-2, to the right of Wichita Regulators's Marcelo Gröhe. Marcelo Gröhe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 88 minutes into the game, American Airlines's Armin Trabucco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Gröhe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-2. Wichita Regulators's Marcelo Gröhe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonah Ryan in the 91st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jonah Ryan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelo Gröhe was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. In the 93rd minute, Jonah Ryan made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Gröhe. Wichita Regulators's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-2. American Airlines walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
