Clemente Armani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudolf Pendleton in the 5th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Kevin Roark managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Canalla de Chicago's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Roark was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Armani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When C. A. Pipon Pipon's Lanny Valle in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. El Canalla de Chicago's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Tuttle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Armani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by C. A. Pipon Pipon's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Martin Tuttle was slow to take the kick. During this time El Canalla de Chicago's players had a chance to rest. 28 minutes into the match, El Canalla de Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Bobby Fisher came free, but Bart Villanueva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st match minute, El Canalla de Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lazaro Ragsdale to maneuver through the defense. El Canalla de Chicago's Martin Tuttle got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute Martin Tuttle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Armani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Rudolf Pendleton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clemente Armani. In the 45th match minute, El Canalla de Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Tuttle to maneuver through the defense. Clemente Armani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudolf Pendleton in the 48th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Rudolf Pendleton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clemente Armani. C. A. Pipon Pipon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rudolf Pendleton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rudolf Pendleton made a kick off. The supporters of El Canalla de Chicago booed when C. A. Pipon Pipon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Houser didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute of the match Martin Tuttle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clemente Armani showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 65th minute, Marcos Sewell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clemente Armani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Pendleton, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute of the match El Canalla de Chicago got a corner. C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Martin Tuttle ran over to the corner to take the kick. Clemente Armani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Tuttle, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. A collision led to El Canalla de Chicago getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Hector Spivey hit a great ball. Martin Tuttle hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. C. A. Pipon Pipon made a substitution. Kerry Lancaster replaced Bobby Fisher. When Rudolf Pendleton fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Canalla de Chicago's protests and gave Rudolf Pendleton a yellow card for diving instead. After 91 played minutes C. A. Pipon Pipon got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Houser. Brock Burke's late challenge caught a C. A. Pipon Pipon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brock Burke helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes El Canalla de Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Brock Burke. 98 minutes into the game, Jose José was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C. A. Pipon Pipon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Canalla de Chicago the free kick. After 98 played minutes C. A. Pipon Pipon got a freekick which was hit by Jose José. When the referee ended the match the El Canalla de Chicago players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
