If Caleb Roberts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 40 minutes into the match, El Canalla de Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Caleb Roberts came free, but Bart Villanueva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caleb Roberts in the 40th minute of play forced El Canalla de Chicago's goalkeeper Bart Villanueva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Spivey made in the 42nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tanner Waller immediately put the ball in play. El Canalla de Chicago's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Antonio HotSPURS the free kick. The referee gave Hector Spivey a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 76th minute, Hector Spivey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. San Antonio HotSPURS's Rodrigo Rouse was substituted for Rolf McNamara. Caleb Roberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bart Villanueva having to interfere. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Caleb Roberts sped through El Canalla de Chicago's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bart Villanueva. Bart Villanueva came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by San Antonio HotSPURS's Kerry Yoshioka. But to his dismay, Kerry Yoshioka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The San Antonio HotSPURS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing San Antonio HotSPURS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
