In the 17th minute, Federico Maia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommie Kirkpatrick was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 23 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goal looked a bit too open when Ari Laird came free, but Jarrett Rosenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grant McKay hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the game, Creekers's Gary Gamble nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jarrett Rosenberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 33 minutes in the game, Donovan Heath fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tommie Kirkpatrick having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Tommie Kirkpatrick successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Federico Maia might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommie Kirkpatrick. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Federico Maia ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Patrick Fontenot kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tommie Kirkpatrick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrick Fontenot to make the kick off. Tommy Cabrera hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Creekers's Tommie Kirkpatrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grant McKay in the 57th minute of play. Tommie Kirkpatrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivelin Kúchev in the 58th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gary Gamble during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gary Gamble kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Federico Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommie Kirkpatrick having to interfere. Donovan Heath received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Tommie Kirkpatrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommie Kirkpatrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Fontenot in the 72nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Creekers defense, Brian Mendoza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommie Kirkpatrick. The Creekers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommie Kirkpatrick should have stopped the shot. Grant McKay took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommie Kirkpatrick. Tommie Kirkpatrick dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-2. After having played for 86 minutes, Donovan Heath managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cosmos Soccer Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donovan Heath was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grant McKay in the 88th minute of play forced Creekers's goalkeeper Tommie Kirkpatrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Federico Maia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommie Kirkpatrick. Creekers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Federico Maia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-2.
