Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Cosmos Soccer Club from getting a goal against them. Jarrett Rosenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonah Ryan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harvey Flynn hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Jonah Ryan managed to get in a good position for a shot. American Airlines's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonah Ryan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarrett Rosenberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jarrett Rosenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Couch in the 17th minute of play. Dale Skinner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexis Couch in the 19th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Alexis Couch took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jarrett Rosenberg to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as American Airlines's Alexis Couch slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jarrett Rosenberg. That made the score 2-0 after 23 minutes of play. A collision led to Cosmos Soccer Club getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Nicky Cavazos hit a great ball. After 33 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Ivelin Kúchev. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonah Ryan got free with Jarrett Rosenberg in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute, Jonah Ryan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexis Couch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexis Couch received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jarrett Rosenberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Alexis Couch slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 43rd minute.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrick Fontenot to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexis Couch in the 51st minute of play forced Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Jarrett Rosenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the match, American Airlines's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Fontenot came free, but Dale Skinner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54thth minute of the game Trinidad Khan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Cosmos Soccer Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarrett Rosenberg should have stopped the shot. American Airlines made a substitution. Jose Parker replaced Trinidad Khan. 82 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goal looked a bit too open when Chandler Bing came free, but Jarrett Rosenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 minutes of play, American Airlines's Chandler Bing made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jarrett Rosenberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 88th minute, Jonah Ryan made a precise shot to the right of Jarrett Rosenberg. Cosmos Soccer Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. A collision led to American Airlines getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Chandler Bing hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the American Airlines players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
