The audience was convinced that Conny Mikaelsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saul Coulter was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Conny Mikaelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Coulter having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Conny Mikaelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ljusne's supporters rose to their feet, but Conny Mikaelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saul Coulter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Castle Hills FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Wilfred Potts hit a great ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Conny Mikaelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ljusne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conny Mikaelsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paul Ekström got free with Saul Coulter in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Ljusne booed when Castle Hills FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duncan Sloan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Castle Hills FC's goalkeeper Saul Coulter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paul Ekström. After having played for 31 minutes, Conny Mikaelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ola Nilsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Barnett in the 39th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Ljusne's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Barnett came free, but Ola Nilsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Barnett in the 49th minute of play forced Ljusne's goalkeeper Ola Nilsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Barnett to make the kick off. Paul Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Coulter having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Castle Hills FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Ekström came free, but Saul Coulter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saul Coulter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paul Ekström went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 62nd minute Conny Mikaelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Coulter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saul Coulter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timmy Larsson in the 65th minute of the match. Paul Ekström took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saul Coulter. After a defensive mix-up in Ljusne's zone, Duncan Sloan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ola Nilsson came out of the goal and Duncan Sloan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Duncan Sloan struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Ola Nilsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castle Hills FC. Paul Ekström scored 3-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Saul Coulter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
