When Craig Alvarado came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Castle Hills FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Craig Alvarado couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valcho Kasavetov during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, The Institute was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valcho Kasavetov to maneuver through the defense. Glenn Stinson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Stoimen Glavchev came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the The Institute fans jumped to their feet. Stoimen Glavchev who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Saul Coulter when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 65th minute, Glenn Stinson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vitko Shalamanov was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duncan Sloan in the 71st minute of play forced The Institute's goalkeeper Vitko Shalamanov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitko Shalamanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Barnett in the 72nd minute of the match.
